Shopping Cart Usage Tips

Our online store uses a shopping cart program. We realize there are a few things about shopping carts that can create questions so we have tried to answer the most common ones here.

Add 1 To Basket: You will see this under every item in the store. Just hold your mouse arrow over the words Add 1 To Basket: and then click. That will take you to the shopping basket and you will see the item you have ordered and the quantity as "1" and the price on the far right. You will also see a button on the left that says "Remove" and a button next to the number 1 that says "Update".

Update -- This is where you can change the number of items you wish to purchase. Where you see the number 1, just type in the number you want and then click on the button that says Update. You will see the number change as well as the price on the far right.

Remove -- If you decide you don't want an item just click on this button and it is gone!

Continue Ordering -- Click on your browser's Back button (usually in the upper left corner of your browser window) and it will take you back to the page you ordered from. You can then continue shopping.

Look In Cart -- At any time while you are shopping, you can View Cart to see what you have ordered, change your order or delete an item. From any place in the store just go to the bar at the bottom of the page and click on the button that says View Cart (a pink & black button at the top of every page on the web site) and it will take you to your shopping basket page.

Head For The Check-Out Stand -- When you are viewing the contents of your cart, there is a yellow "Checkout" button in the upper right hand corner of the screen, in the black bar at the top. You will be taken to an account "Login" page. If you choose to login, the shopping cart will remember your address information for the next time you login. If you don't want to do this, simply click on the choice that says "Place Order Without Account."

"Remember Me" -- When you are logging in, you may click on the box that is labeled "Remember Me." This feature allows our shopping cart to "recognize" you - so you do not need to enter your login information each time you want place an order. The Browser software on your computer must allow "cookies" for this to work (this is the same kind of software used by companies like Amazon.com to remember your preferences). If you use more than one computer, you must click on the box once from each one that you use.

Updating Your Account Information -- If you need to update any of the information in your account, click on the yellow "Account" button in the upper left hand corner of the screen, in the black bar at the top.

Secure Payments -- When you enter any of your personal information (address, phone number, credit card number, etc), you are in a Secure site (SSL) and you should see a padlock at the right hand bottom of the page on your browser bar. This is a totally secure page that is protected from any tampering or snooping. Your credit card information remains there and is not sent by email to us or anyone.

If you cannot see the padlock, there are two main reasons for this condition:

-- You don't have the status (bottom) bar turned on in your browser. In Microsoft Explorer, for example, you turn on the status bar by choosing 'View -> Status Bar'. If "Status Bar" is checked, the bar should be showing at the bottom of the browser window.

-- You are viewing our secure site from within an unsecure window (e.g., About.com). Your transaction is still secure, but the outer window masks the padlock symbol. On the About.com interface, there is a button to click that says "Turn off this top frame." Please do this before you put things in the cart - as choosing this choice may empty your shopping cart! We are working on eliminating this user interface problem - until we do, this is the workaround.

Address Doesn't Match -- If you are trying to enter your credit card number, you may get an error message that refers to the address you entered. The address that you use in the cart must match an address that your credit card company knows is yours. Try entering the credit card billing address in the "Bill To:" fields. In most cases, this will solve credit card submission problems.

For any other credit card submission errors, please email us at Send an Email info@beadedimpressions.com! We can work around a lot of credit card problems from our end. To be sure that your order information is saved while we are working things out, please change your payment method to "PayPal" and submit your order. This saves all the order information and we can match up the credit card approval with the order later. Please do not send your actual card number and expiration date in an email! This is not safe.

PayPal For Payment -- In the "Pay With:" payment menu, select "PayPal." When you receive your Order Confirmation email, you will find information for making your PayPal payment. Our PayPal payment ID is: orders@abeadstore.com. If you are not signed up for PayPal, you can sign up today and start paying with credit card for many things that are on the internet, including most auction purchases. PayPal can be used World Wide and is FREE to the buyer. Click below to check it out:
